AL BASTI EQUIWORLD ‘BEST TURNED OUT HORSE’ PRIZE
All three days:
Al Basti Equiworld will be sponsoring cash prizes of $50 on Feature and Premier days and $25 on Tier 2 or Industry days, for the strapper of the ‘Best Turned Out’ horse in each race run at Riccarton Park.  A guest selector for the day will make the decision before each race with the prize being presented after horses go to the start. The appearance of the strapper will also be taken into account as will the NZTR requirement for appropriate closed shoes.

PRIVATE SUITES:
A limited number of private suites remain available on the second day, Wednesday, 7 August 2019 and on Grand National Day Saturday 10 August 2019.  Ring Kym Berney on 03 336 0055.

LICENCE DISPLAY:
To assist security in ensuring that only authorised people are allowed into the raceday stalls area it is essential that all licence holders and licensed staff wear their licence badges so that they are clearly visible at all times.  Security do not necessarily know trainers and other licence holders by sight and wearing licence badges so that they are easily seen will prevent any unnecessary embarrassment in accessing the stalls area.

There are two different colours of 2019/20 NZTR licence passes (Credit Card Style), Orange and Lime Green.

Please note that only the Lime Green card entitles free entry through cash and ticket turnstiles.

The Orange card does not entitle the bearer to entry and if entering through these gates the bearer must have another ticket or pay the applicable entry fee.  The Orange card does not entitle the bearer to Members privileges as of right.  The Orange card gains entry only for those holders who are attending horses starting on the day and entering through the raceday tie-stalls from the Float Park/Horse Containment area.

FLOAT PARKING:
All horse-floats to use the containment area.  Trainers and horse-float operators are advised that it is a requirement of the Canterbury Jockey Club ‘Horse Containment Policy’ that all horse-floats unload and load within the confines of the contained horse-float park.  Horses are not to be unloaded or loaded anywhere other than within this area.  Entry to the horse-float park is via the Steadman Road entrance.

HORSE CONTAINMENT – GATES CLOSED:
Trainers and horse-float operators are reminded that all gates to the stables on Racecourse and Yaldhurst Roads are to remain closed at all times.  Please ensure that your owners, staff and other contractors are aware of this requirement.  This is a major safety issue as closed gates prevent horses escaping off the property onto the surrounding roads.
