Small sections of the turf have been damaged, caused by unusual climatic conditions, which has led to Tauranga being unable to race on either Saturday 17 or Saturday 24 March. 

This decision was made in association with the club and after taking advice from the Tauranga Track Manager , the NZTR National Venue Inspector and the NZ Sports Turf Institute.

This Saturday’s meeting will now be conducted by Racing Rotorua and held at Arawa Park. The rail will be out 1.5m and the distances will now be 2200m, 1560m, 1400m, 1215m.

A decision in regard to the Windsor Park Stud Japan Trophy meeting on the 24th, in terms of a replacement venue, will be announced in the coming days.
