The changes to apprentice allowances have now been ratified by the Racing Minister. These become effective from Monday 7 May with the first applicable NZ Racemeeting being at Waipa on Wednesday 9 May. Please note that some riders who have previously out-ridden their claim will now return to a 1kg claim. Many other riders will have a change to how much they can claim.
