The trials held at Awapuni on Tuesday (19^th Feb) went well, with all reports from jockeys in regards to the reconstructed home bend being favourable.

NZTR representatives, and RIU Stipendiary Stewards Neil Goodwin and Darin Balcombe were in attendance and all received positive comments from the riders.

Based on the success of the trials, the next raceday at Awapuni, Friday 1 March, will be run on the new bend.  That raceday will give all industry participants the opportunity to view the new bend in action prior to the Courtesy Ford Manawatu Sires Produce raceday to be held on Saturday 30 March.
