With confirmation of the two Guineas races now being run at Riccarton Park it is necessary to make adjustments to some black-type events that sit around these races. In consultation with members of the Pattern Committee, together with affected clubs, the changes are as follows:

• The Soliloquy Stakes to run at Te Rapa on 24 October (same day as the James and Annie Sarten Memorial)
• The Gold Trail Stakes to come forward four weeks to 19 September
• The Canterbury Stakes to move from 14 November to 24 October
• The Tauranga Meeting to return to its date of 14 November and host the Tauranga Stakes (this is a date change which will need to be ratified by RITA)

While there are other considerations to be made around black-type races as part of the dates process, it was deemed timely to confirm these particular changes for purposes of planning a programme for 3YO horses.
