The General Trust fund was established to provide financial support to registered licensees when they become injured as a result of an accident while carrying out duties in their capacity as a licensee or suffer a serious illness.

The fund is administered by NZTR and Governed by a Board of Trustees under the Rules of Racing.  All race day fines incurred and paid by licensees are directed to this fund in addition to bequeaths, donations and or further financial support from NZTR.

Applications are required to fall within the criteria or purpose of the fund are considered on a case by case basis by the Trustees.  All applications to the fund are to be addressed to the Trustees for their consideration within 30 days of the accident or serious illness being diagnosed.
