In the heart of the Waikato, Te Awamutu is home to Waipa Racing Club and is also home to over 200 horses who use the facilities daily for training including grass and sand tracks, swimming pool etc. Some of the bigger trainers based there are Graeme & Debbie Sanders, Robert Priscott, Richard & Chris Otto & Keith & Brendon Hawtin. Te Awamutu is a prospering farming town, with a population of 14,000, 15-20 minutes to Hamilton Airport and an extra 5 minutes to Hamilton City Centre and just over an hour from the heart of the Bay of Plenty beaches.

Admission: Entry to all days is free.
Catering: There are 5 bars on course. The new course caterer ‘Gourmet Delicious’ provide wonderful fresh food and a wide variety in all rooms. They can accommodate any function with a great menu and a wide variety of refreshments. Wines are supplied by Millsreef Winery.
Hospitality: There are Hospitality Rooms for Sponsors, Birthday Parties or any Business Function.
Function/Conference Facilities: The Waipa Racing Club offers 6 different venues on course, available for a wide range of functions with plenty of off road, private parking and magnificent views. The largest room will host 220 people and the smallest 30. The most popular room, "The Rosetown Room", has recently been redecorated with modern decor.
