Winton J.C.

Founded in the late 1800s, the Winton Jockey Club will race three times this season, twice at Winton Racecourse and once at Ascot Park. The Winton racecourse is situated 31 kilometres North of Invercargill and forms part of the Gallops South group. The track is 1600metres, and as such tends to favour horses who race up with the pace. As well as racing, the grounds are also used for showjumping, eventing, Pony Club and the Winton A & P Association.
