The Whakatane Racing Club is based in the Bay of Plenty. The Club hosts two country race meetings a year, on Auckland Anniversary Monday and June at the Te Teko Racecourse. Nestled beneath the picturesque Mt Putauaki the racecourse features spacious grounds with shade trees and 'Tasman Hill' to accommodate family groups and corporate Marquees. An uncovered stand provides seating for 200 plus a large Pavilion and Totalisator building which has a capacity for 400 people. Wide variety of food and beverages are available on raceday. The wide volcanic ash based track makes it ideal for all weather conditions and race goers can expect country racing and hospitality at its best.
Membership
$34.50 which includes free entry and parking on all racedays and access to the Presidents Area.
Gate charge for the public at summer meeting $10.00 per adult, under 18 Free.
Fully licensed bar facilities, wide range of food outlets ranging from standard takeaway fare to healthy food options and BBQ’s.
