The Thames Jockey Club holds one meeting per year in January at the Thames Racecourse. The Club has a long and proud history, being one of New Zealand's oldest racing clubs. Situated on the Coromandal Peninsula, this is the perfect summer venue with a picnic atmosphere 'No suits or ties required'. The Coromandel Peninsula is one of the largest holiday destinations in New Zealand and Thames is central to all the holiday areas and is the largest town on the Coromandel Peninsula.
