Dargaville Racing Club races once a year in November, at Awakino Point Racecourse. Our meetings are well patronized on-course with patrons traveling from throughout Northland and beyond to enjoy the picnic atmosphere our race day creates. Although we have full dining and bar facilities many choose to bring a picnic or a barbeque and enjoy the day in the company of family or work groups. We have a very good track which attracts trainers and owners from throughout Northland, Auckland and Waikato districts. Facilities for horses include a number of boxes and yards, with most traveling the night prior to race day. The Club usually hosts visiting owners, trainers and staff to a barbeque on the night prior to race day. Visitors will find entrance on race day free to the public car park. Members who pay an annual subscription fee of $15.00 are able to park in the Members car park which overlooks the racecourse. Eftpos facilities are available on race day. Entry is free Membership $20.00 joining fee and $15 each year thereafter There are two bars and three food outlets
