14 Dec: Return imminent for Monarch Chimes
Published: 17 Dec 2018 - - Author: NZ Racing Desk

Quality jumper Monarch Chimes will return to the Cambridge stable of his trainers David and Emma-Lee Browne after spelling since his unplaced run in the Gr.3 New Zealand Cup (3200m).

The gelding put in a solid showing at the Warrnambool carnival earlier this year and he is earmarked to make a return for the jumping features next year.

The seven-year-old son of Shinko King placed in the Brierly Steeplachase (3450m), before finishing fourth in the Grand National Steeplechase (4500m).

“He is just out spelling,” Emma-Lee Browne said. “He comes back in on Boxing Day, that will be six weeks off for him.

“Then we are right back into it, heading towards Warrnambool.”
