Paula was appointed to the Board in 2018. A seasoned business leader, she has more than 25 years of experience in the media industry. She is the former Chief Revenue Officer at Postmedia, and prior to this held positions as Senior VP of Global Advertising, Head of Sales at Yahoo! Canada, and Director of National Advertising for CBC Television. Paula has sat on numerous industry boards and is actively involved in the mentoring of aspiring professionals.

Terry has been a member of the Responsible Gambling Council’s Board of Directors since 2004 and was the Board Chair from June 2007–2019. He is now the Immediate Past Chair of the RGCC and RGC(O) Boards.

Terry calls himself a recovering problem gambler, with 40 years of experience. He started his gambling career at the age of 13, while working at a local racetrack, and ended in 2000, when he finally quit and sought help. He underwent three years of counselling in Ottawa and has not returned to his previous ways.

Terry has been in sales for most of his working life. He began his first job at noon of the day he finished his last exam in high school. He started his own company in the late ’60s, but fell victim to the economic downturn of the early ’70s. He has held sales positions in a number of fields including automotive, temporary help, and engineering and drafting supplies. He twice worked in the horse racing industry, first as a runner for cashiers at age 13, and later as the assistant racing secretary at a Quebec track. For 16 years, he worked as a senior account manager with The Computer Media Group in Ottawa.

He is currently retired and continues to serve on the Board of Directors of the Responsible Gambling Council.

Former Gambling/Liquor Industry Executive, Manitoba

Susan served for many years on the Responsible Gambling Council board and recently joined the RG Check Board of Directors. She is retired from Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries, where she was VP of Corporate Communications and Social Responsibility. In that role, she was responsible for the corporation’s CSR initiatives, including responsible gambling, as well as strategic communications and media relations. She has also served on the board of CNIB Manitoba.
