  • Manitoba

    Addictions Foundation of Manitoba

    The AFM is a Crown agency that contributes to the health and wellbeing of Manitobans by addressing the harm associated with addictions through education, prevention, treatment and program evaluation.

    New Brunswick Health – Gambling Information

    New Brunswick has eight addiction centres with specialized staff helping individuals and their families with problem gambling through counselling and intervention services.

    Provided by Nova Scotia Health and Wellness, the Problem Gambling Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is confidential and free.

  • Nunavut

    Nunavut Health and Social Services

    The Department of Health and Social Services offers community, regional, and out-of-territory mental health services to help diagnose and treat people with gambling problems.

  • Ontario

    ConnexOntario

    ConnexOntario provides free and confidential health services information for people experiencing problems with alcohol and drugs, mental illness and/or gambling.

    Their information and referral service is live-answer 24/7, confidential, and free.

  • Prince Edward Island

    Health PEI Gambling Addiction Services

    The Problem Gambling Helpline is a confidential, toll-free telephone service available to all Islanders 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Gambling Addiction Services offers a range of client centered programming to help problem gamblers recover from their addiction.

    Gambling: Help and Referral

    Gambling: help and referral offers information, listening and support on compulsive gambling, as well as referral for all available help in the field. The helpline is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, throughout Québec.

    Saskatchewan Health – Gambling

    Saskatchewan Health co-ordinates the efforts of health regions, government ministries, community groups and the gaming industry to provide services related to the prevention, education and treatment of gambling problems.

    The mission of the Department of Health and Social Services commits the department and its employees to quality health and social services for Yukoners.

  • United Kingdom

    Gordon Moody Association

    The Gordon Moody Association provides high quality, innovative therapeutic support to those most affected by problem gambling including raising awareness of the issues of gambling related harm.

    Their range of services are as follows:

    • Specialist Residential Treatment Programme – 12 weeks in duration (preceded by a 2-week residential assessment) providing 18 bed spaces across 2 locations in the UK.
    • Recovery House Accommodation – With relapse prevention support for up to 9 people for up to 3 months following treatment.
    • Outreach support – For ex-residents who have moved on, we provide face to face, telephone and online support.
    • Retreat and Counselling Programme – A mixed model offering a brief retreat programme and counselling providing 3 programmes per year for up to 36 women and 1 programme per year for up to 12 men.
    • Gambling Therapy – An international and multi-lingual online service providing support to problem gamblers worldwide.

    The National Council on Problem Gambling operates the National Problem Gambling Helpline Network (1-800-522-4700). The network is a single national access point to local resources for those seeking help for a gambling problem. The network consists of 28 call centers which provide resources and referrals for all 50 states, Canada and the US Virgin Islands. Help is available 24/7 and is 100% confidential.

    The National Problem Gambling Helpline Network also includes text and chat services. These features enable those who are gambling online or on their mobile phone to access help the same way they play. One call, text or chat will get you to problem gambling help anywhere in the U.S. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
